TOUR HIGHLIGHTS - Visit Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, 3,520 above sea level with a large pagoda containing a part of the holy relics of the Lord Buddha. A stairway of some 300 steps lead you to the top, which affords splendid views of the city and its surrounding plains. There is also a cable car to whisk you to the summit if the climb seem too daunting. In the 14 century, the amazing tale of the building of this temple began when an elephant with a Buddha relic strapped to its back was turn loose in the belief that a temple would be build at the spot where the creature stopped. The elephant climbed the slope of Doi Suthep and the Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep was built at its present site. The Buddha relic is now contained in a large golden pagoda  in the center of the temple

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS - Buddhist temples in Chiang Mai show off a mixture of architectural styles that reflect the varied heritage of Northern Thailand. TOUR HIGHLIGHTS - When in Chiang Mai, you have to try the delicate flavors of Khantoke Dinner. It is the traditional northern style of serving food - five to six dishes are arranged on rattan tray set on a pedestal. Diners sit around and partake the meals which are constantly top up - so you can eat as much as you like. While dinner in progress, beautiful young dancers in dazzling colorful traditional costumes will delight you with diversity of classical court and folk dances of the four regions of northern Thailand. Visitors are generally enthralled by the magnificence of the costumes, the elegance of the choreography and the serene, lilting melodies played by an exotic ensemble of instruments. 
 

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS - If you have never seen elephants training to perform tricks, a visit to the Mae Sa Elephant Camp, makes for an interesting half day excursion.
